My Filters

One of the most important things that the homeowner can do for their Air Conditioning system is keeping the filter clean.

Above is an extreme case of a dirty filter. It is a common "Hogs Hair" filter (MERV 4 rating).

This is what it looked like after cleaning it

This new client had to replace the filters completely.

Below is another example of a filter very similar to the "hogs hair" filter; this is a more typical example of the dirty filters we come across.

This filter needed to be cleaned sooner, but
this is how most washable will look after being cleaned.

The filter is a critical item to keeping the environment's air clean, as well as keeping the Air Conditioning system working as efficiently as possible. Dirty filters equal higher electrical bills.
When the filter is clean it allows the proper amount of air to flow through the Air Handler (inside unit) This is important because the system requires the proper amount of air flowing through it in order to keep the system from icing up.
